Cotton is a natural fabric derived from cotton blossoms. The fabric is lightweight, soft and breathable. Clothes made of cotton are comfortable to wear and hygienic thanks to good moisture absorption properties. The quality of the fabric depends on the type of cotton and the type of weaving, but in all cases it is a fairly strong fiber. Cotton is often blended with other fibers, such as polyester and polyamide. Blending makes cotton more durable and easier to care.
It is recommended to wash cotton items inside out for longer lasting colours. It can resist temperatures similar to the linen, which can be washed and ironed at high temperatures. It is recommended to use steam ironing, since normal ironing may cause the fabric to turn yellowish. White cotton items can be boiled and colourful items washed at temperatures up to 60°C. However, always check the care label before washing, as various blended fabrics require slightly different care.
Natural linen fiber is very durable, being 2-3 times stronger than cotton. Linen can often be found in the summer collections as this elegant fabric is perfect for the warm season. Linen absorbs moisture and feels cooling to the body. However, this fiber tends to crease, so it is often blended with wool or polyester to slightly reduce this tendency. However, there is no need to worry about the creasing as the fabric can be ironed very easily and you will be ready in few minutes.
Linen fiber tends to shrink in the wash, but is not affected by the different washing temperatures. While choosing the washing program, do not forget to pay attention to the other fibers and color intensity.
