Wool is a completely natural fiber derived from animal fur. In addition to wool from sheep you have probably heard of alpaca, merino, kashmir, mohair or angora - these are the most popular wool types. Wool types can vary in density, roughness or softness, appearance, etc. Wool is a very popular fabric because of its unique properties. It retains the warmth and protects from the cold while staying breathable. The fabric is highly practical as it does not crease, hardly gets dirty and can last many years with proper care.
Woollen items are recommended to wash by hand, but for saving time you can also use a washing machine. In the latter case, it is important to use a special wool program and washing detergents that are designed for this fiber.
Polyester, also known as diolethane, dacron, terylene and tetorone is a synthetic fiber. Polyester is very durable and long-lasting. It dries very quickly, hardly creases and retains its shape perfectly. Polyester is an important supplement for natural fibers improving their strength.
Polyester must be protected from heat, so it is recommended to wash it at the temperatures up to 40°C.
